Vaccination certificate in force already in summer
The European Parliament today approved the proposal for the creation of a digital green certificate, with the aim of facilitating freedom of movement within the European Union.
Under the Portuguese presidency, negotiations will begin between Parliament, the Council and the European Commission, in order to ensure that the digital green certificate can come into operation in June this year.
The digital certificate is intended to prove vaccination, testing or recovery from covid-19, a bilingual document that contains a QR code and also covers European citizens residing in third countries.
