Consumer incentive system for the return of plastic beverage packaging remains in operation until the end of 2022
The Ordinance was published extending the incentive system for the return of non-reusable plastic beverage packaging, in the form of a pilot project, with a view to ensuring that waste from these packagings is sent for recycling. This System was created under Decree-Law No. 152-D/2017, of December 11, in its current wording.
Taking into account the success of this incentive system, as well as the fact that the funding, provided through the Environmental Fund, allows, without additional costs to the State, its operation will continue until the end of 2022.
