ANACOM warns of attempted fraud
ANACOM – Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações warns that some people are currently being approached by individuals who claim to be representatives of this entity, seeking to obtain commercial advantages. This type of approach constitutes fraud, as ANACOM is not contacting consumers.
There are several ways to approach, one of them through telephone contact to allegedly carry out a study on the quality of Internet access or to conclude communications contracts.
In the face of any occurrence that may constitute an attempt to fraud/scam:
• immediately alert the security authorities, filing a complaint with the Public Security Police and the National Republican Guard,
or
• directly contact the Public Ministry or the Department of Investigation and Criminal Action (DIAP) at the court in the area where the facts took place.
