Approved Social Tariff for Internet Access
The creation of the social tariff for Internet access was approved today, in the Council of Ministers, with the aim of ensuring access for low-income consumers to a set of basic internet services relevant to their daily lives, namely access to e-mail, search engines, banking services, social networks and video calls, among others. The tariff must cover the same population that already benefits from the social tariff for electricity and water.
The tariff is expected to take effect on 1 July.
