ALTERNATIVE TO COURTS IN ALMOST ALL
THE PARISHES OF THE COUNTRY
The Arbitration Center of the Autonomous University of Lisbon signed a cooperation protocol with ANAFRE – Associação Nacional de Freguesias, with the aim of placing RAL media at the service of the population and its associated parishes.
In this way, more than 8 million citizens, families and companies will now be covered by means of Alternative Dispute Resolution (RAL), in the family conflicts (Regulation of Parental Responsibilities, divorce agreements, inheritances, among others), of work, consumption, neighborhood, in housing context (lease agreements, evictions, condominium payments, among others) in context of providing health services and in the context of sports.
This agreement now concluded is pioneering and unique in the country and, we believe, in Europe, with regard to the provision of these services by an arbitration center to the population, thus providing a true public service and true proximity justice.
Citizens residing in participating parishes will have RAL resources at their disposal, with many advantages, of which we highlight speed, low cost and a high degree of satisfaction.
The parishes now have a service that is completely identical to that practiced by the courts of the “Judges of Peace”, but with even more powers.
In addition to proximity justice, we also contribute to the humanization of justice, to the de-judicialization of the courts, to the reduction of the emotional distress of the parties involved, to the promotion of cooperative environments that improve and transform the relationship between people and, above all, above all, for the longed-for social peace.
ANAFRE and CAUAL thus take a very significant step forward in offering citizens true proximity justice.
ANAFRE and its associated parishes thus contribute to a better quality of life for the population.
