The Parish Council of Cascais Estoril signed a cooperation protocol with the Arbitration Center of the Autonomous University of Lisbon (CAUAL), with a view to offering its customers a true service of proximity justice.
Now the citizens of Cascais and Estoril find in CAUAL a real alternative to the judicial courts, being able to resolve their conflicts in a faster way, withwith substantially lower costs and with a higher degree of satisfaction.
Residents in the Cascais and Estoril area can submit neighborhood, consumer, hospital, work and family conflicts to CAUAL.
Conflicts will be referred to a conflict mediator, certified by the Ministry of Justice, who will help the parties to dialogue, with a view to an eventual agreement.
CAUAL wants to leave here a note of thanks to the President of the Parish Council of Cascais Estoril, Dr. Pedro Morais Soares, who from the outset expressed interest in offering the service to citizens and businesses in the Parish that he directs.
Present at the protocol signing session, in addition to the President of the Parish Council and the Director of CAUAL, were the President of the Business Association of the Municipality of Cascais, Dr. Armando Correia, various social partners, workers and technicians from the municipality.
After the signing of the protocol, the Director of the Arbitration Center, led an information/training session to the technicians and employees of the Parish, who were very enthusiastic about the service offered by CAUAL, expressing the desire to apply it to all the Parishioners who come to need.
